Correction: I’ve checked the North American eShop and it appears that the demo isn’t live yet.. I misunderstood the time listed in Nintendo’s tweet. The demo should be available at 9:00 PM Pacific/12:00 AM Eastern tonight.

Splatoon 2 Edition Nintendo Switch Bundle Announced For North America

Splatoon 2 Edition Nintendo Switch Bundle

Nintendo has announced a Splatoon 2 Edition Nintendo Switch bundle for North America. The bundle was previously available in Japan & Europe, but until now it hadn’t been confirmed to be coming to North America. The Splatoon 2 Edition Nintendo Switch bundle will be available starting on September 8th, but there’s a catch.

It seems that Nintendo has decided to make the bundle exclusive to Walmart. In addition to the Switch system, the bundle will include a digital copy of Splatoon 2, a carrying case, and the green & pink Splatoon 2 themed Joy-Con controllers. If you’re interested in picking one up, the price is $379.99 (about $80 more than the standard Switch SKU). So you’re basically getting the game and carrying case for free, since pairs of Joy-Con controllers retail for $79.99 by themselves.

Here’s a couple images Nintendo released of the bundle.
