LawBreakers Is Losing Players

LawBreakers

LawBreakers is losing players despite getting pretty good reviews. The first-person shooter from Cliff Bleszinski’s Boss Key Productions currently has a Metascore of 82 and a GameRankings score of 85% for the PC version and 80% for the PS4 version. According to GitHyp, the player base peaked at 7,500 players on Steam back during the June beta. The game’s second beta had 40% less players than the first. Now the top amount of concurrent players is about 3,000, a far cry from the June numbers.

It makes you wonder why the game is struggling. Perhaps the $30.00 price tag has something to do with it? It was originally supposed to be a free-to-play title. Maybe Boss Key can turn things around by making it free-to-play in the coming weeks or by releasing a free demo of sorts? Hopefully things will improve for LawBreakers in the future.
