Destiny 2 – More Details Revealed

Destiny 2

More details have been revealed about Destiny 2 in the latest issue of Edge. Redditor kapowaz got a hold of a copy of the magazine and posted a few details about the game. It seems that the Destiny 2 beta did not have the final form for Energy weapons and how they are used against the AI when they have elemental shields. The shield will explode when it dissipates and the explosion will harm enemies that are close by.

Other details include some info about Nightfall Strikes. There will now be a time limit for them. It may different from Strike to Strike. You’ll likely want to put a plan together before embarking on a Strike to make sure you can complete it within the allotted time. PVE details were mentioned too. So far there’s 80+ missions & activities. There’s a lot of new stuff in the game.

Edge was also shown other things by Bungie but they are unable to reveal much about what else they saw. They got to take a look at Hunters and they were pleased with what they were shown. YouTuber MoreConsole goes into more details about the magazine’s article which you can view below along with the Edge 310 cover.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Is Harder According To Devs

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is harder, according to the game’s developers. Kevin Kelly, Editorial Manager at Activision, said that the jumping in the PS4 remaster is not the same as the original games.

“There are a few subtle differences in Crash Bandicoot. Chief among these being the fact that you fall more quickly upon release of the X button than you did in the original first game.”

He also said that Vicarious Visions changed how player collisions worked in the remake. However, he didn’t say how they were changed. He did say that “certain jumps require more precision than the originals.” Mr. Kelly commented further:

“An increased precision is now required in the first game, which makes the gameplay experience different. Particularly if you are a new player, you may want to start with the second and third games first, and then come back to try Crash Bandicoot after you’ve had more practice. For those of you who played the originals and acquired a fair amount of muscle memory, re-learning the handling in our game may present an additional challenge you weren’t expecting. But we’re sure you up to the task.”

Vicarious Visions recommends that if you’re new to the series, you should start with Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back & Crash Bandicoot: Warped and then return to play the first game after completing the others. The first game is considered to be more difficult than its sequels.

Thus far neither Vicarious Visions nor Activision has indicated that they will change these mechanics, despite some players wanting them to match the original games.

Destiny 2’s The Farm Hub Tour From IGN

Destiny 2

IGN has a new first look tour of Destiny 2’s The Farm hub. This will be an area of the game that you wind up in after being kicked out of the city and it will change and grow with you as you progress through the game. There will be refugees, civilians, Guardians, and vendors here. Tyra Karn is here and she is the Cryptarch Archivist. There’s also an area where humanity is trying to recover from the attack of the Cabal and is rebuilding ships, weapons etc.

Bungie has even included a soccer mini game you can play in the hub with other Guardians while you wait for your Strike/Raid team to assemble. This is one of the ideas they’ve had to try to get other Guardians to pay attention to you and check out your character or gear. They’re also adding a sort of buff concept where you might be able to run faster for example or you might have an effect added to your character.

Destiny 2 is scheduled to be released on September 6th for PS4 & Xbox One and on October 24th for PC.
