Atelier Lydie & Soeur – Teaser Website & Special Edition Details

Atelier Lydie & Soeur

Gust has opened a teaser website for Atelier Lydie & Soeur, which was just recently announced. The game will have several different special editions in Japan. According to Gematsu there will be a Standard Edition, Download Edition, Premium Box, & an Atelier 20th Anniversary Box, the latter of which is exclusive to Gust’s online store and Amazon Japan.

The Premium Box version will come with a copy of the game, Atelier Lydie & Soeur: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting, a Visual Book, Soundtrack & Voice CD (two separate discs),  a set of three mini clear posters, an illustrated B3 cloth poster, & a download code for in-game content.

Meanwhile, the Atelier 20th Anniversary Box will come with everything the Premium Box has plus a Sophie & Firis Premium Visual Book, a Lydie & Soeur Double Crystal Paperweight, and an Atelier 20th Anniversary Alchemist Pin Badge Collection. In addition first-print copies of the game will come with Marie & Elie costume DLC which we reported previously.

The Standard & Download Editions range from 6,300円 to 7,300円 (~$57.70-$66.86). The Premium Box edition is 9,300-10,300円 (~$85.18-$94.34) and the Atelier 20th Anniversary Box is 24,600-25,600円 (~$225.31-$234.47). On all editions of the game, the PlayStation Vita versions are cheaper, while the PlayStation 4 & Switch version are more expensive as you would expect.

Atelier Lydie & Soeur Announced For Switch, PS4, & Vita

Atelier Lydie & Soeur

A new Atelier game has been announced for Switch, PlayStation 4, & PlayStation Vita. It’s called Atelier Lidy & Soeur and is due out in Japan this Winter. The game was revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu by Gust. The titular characters, Lidy Marlen & Soeur Marlen will be voiced by Maria Naganawa & Hikaru Akao. Lidy is the calm one of the two while Soeur is more energetic. The two are twin sister and hail from the capital of Adarett Kingdom, Merveille.

In Atelier Lidy & Soeur, players will be exploring a world located within a painting. The synthesis system will be different this time around as well. In addition, there will be a Combination Battle system in place that allows pairs to battle it out. Synthesis will now be usable during battles too.

If you’re able to get one of the launch copies of the game, you’ll receive costumes of Marie & Elie (from Atelier Marie and Atelier Elie respectively). For more details head over to Siliconera below.

PS Plus Games For August 2017

The PS Plus games for August 2017 have been announced by Sony. In addition to the six free games, if you’re a PS Plus member you can also rent select movies for 99 cents each. So which free games are you getting next month? Well PS4 owners can download Just Cause 3, Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry, & That’s You. If you have a PS3, Super Motherload & Snakeball are available for free. If you’d rather game on the go on your Vita, you can check out Downwell (which is also a PS4 crossbuy title) & Level 22.

As for the movies we mentioned above, over the next six weeks, PS Plus members can rent a new movie each week for just 99 cents. The first movie is available now and it’s The LEGO Batman Movie. Next week is Logan, then Power Rangers, Kong: Skull Island, The Boss Baby, & finally it wraps up with Ghost in the Shell.

Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] European Release Date, Screenshots, Artwork, Trailer, & Details

The Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] European release date has been announced by PQube, Arc System Works, & French Bread. Screenshots, artwork, a trailer, & a few details were also announced. The game is scheduled to be released on PS4, PS3, & Vita in Q4 2017. Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] is set in a fictionalized version of modern Japan. Each month, there’s an event known as Hollow Night. During this event, monsters known as Voids attack people. People who are not killed during these attacks sometimes are imbued with special powers and are then known as an In-Birth. Hyde is one of the main characters and a survivor of an attack.

Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] will feature several new characters including Mika, Wagner, Phonon, & Enkidu. There also be four new stages, Momiji Alley, Children’s Playground, Cathedral of the Far East, & Cafeteria. Certain gameplay features have been added or re-balanced to improve the overall experience. There is a new feature called Veil Off which appears to work with the game’s combo system. Speaking of combos, there’s a Combo Challenge Mode in Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] too. This mode teaches you new combos and tasks you with completing difficult challenges. A Tutorial Mode will also be included for both new players and ones who want to practice more before moving on. Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] will also feature a story mode called Chronicle Mode. As mentioned above, it’s scheduled to be released later this year. For now you can check out some screenshots, artwork, and a trailer.

Japanese sales charts for the week ending July 16th, 2017 have been released by Famitsu. Which games made the top 10 this week? Well Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on PS4 was number one, selling almost 100,000 copies in its first week. New Nintendo 2DS XL was the top selling hardware, also in its first week of availability. Nintendo was pretty dominant this week on both software and hardware. Switch & 3DS games made up 7 out of the top 10 games and the two platforms took 3 of the top 5 spots for hardware. More DLC for Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is coming tomorrow for PS4 & Vita according to Bandai Namco. This will be the second part of the Abyss of the Shrine Maiden story. This time you will have to pursue a mysterious girl through a frozen area of ice and snow. You’ll be joined by a group of hunters that will help you out in battles. The Heroine Quest is also part of the DLC. Players will be able to practice with Kirito and Leafa to learn a new attacker skill and you can help Philia to open a mysterious treasure.
