Nights of Azure 1 vs. 2 Comparison Trailer

Gust has shared a new trailer on their YouTube channel. It’s a Nights of Azure 1 vs. 2 comparison trailer. The video looks at the differences between the original game, Nights of Azure (aka Yoru no Nai Kuni) and its sequel, Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon. Here’s a short synopsis (via Google Translate):

“Kaiku 2″ is a bishoujo keyword RPG. The beautiful girls heroine · lily are appearing, and they play great roles in battle and stories with the main character. The dark worldview that was popular in the previous work is intact, attractive lily becomes a partner of the hero, attracts each other, and intertwines to make the beautiful girls shine. Please enjoy the sweetest tale with Lily.”

Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon is scheduled to be released in Japan for PS4, Vita, & Switch on August 31st for 6,300-16,300円, depending on which version of the game you select. The game has received a CERO rating of C (ages 15 & up). You can visit the official Japanese website for the game here.

Want A Gaming Smartphone? China’s Got You Covered

Gaming Smartphone

Remember the N-Gage and Xperia Play experiments by Nokia & Sony respectively? Well it looks like one Chinese manufacturer hasn’t gotten the memo that gaming smartphones aren’t that popular. iReadyGo is planning to debut a new Android powered gaming smartphone at this year’s ChinaJoy expo. Engadget’s Richard Lai was able to get a look at one recently at MWC Shanghai. The name for this new phone? iReadyGo has dubbed it the Snail Mobile i7. I’m not sure about how that name goes over in China, but here in the U.S., we tend to associate the term snail and electronic devices with slowness (i.e. snail mail), so it’s an unusual choice. Perhaps they will re-brand the device for Western markets?

Gaming Smartphone

Unlike a lot of Chinese phones, this one is planned to be released outside of China, including Hong Kong and the West. According to Mr. Lai, the specs for the Snail Mobile i7 are pretty good. For about 1,899 Yuan (the Chinese currency), which is about $280 US, you’ll get a phone with 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage space, dual SIM card slots, a 6-inch 1080p touchscreen, stereo speakers, and a removable 6,000 mAh battery. It’s running on MediaTek’s tri-cluster Helio X20 (MT6797) processor, which features ten cores. Like most modern smartphones, the i7 also features a two cameras, a 5-megapixel front camera and a 16-megapixel back camera. The device also uses the new standard of USB-C for charging.

Gaming Smartphone

In terms of its gaming controls, the i7 utilizes a fairly standard layout. There’s a D-Pad and joystick on the left, a second joystick on the right along with four face buttons. The device also features two shoulder buttons. The i7 has a very PlayStation Vita look to it, so if you like that look and want a smartphone you can game on, they you might want to give the Snail Mobile i7 a look when it releases later this year.

Tokyo Xanadu GameSpew Review

Tokyo Xanadu GameSpew Review

Tokyo Xanadu from Nihon Falcom & Aksys Games was just released yesterday on PlayStation Vita in North America. You can check out part of the Tokyo Xanadu GameSpew review by Brandon Langrock here. Below is part of Mr. Langrock’s review.

“Have you ever wanted to play a game about Japanese high school students banding together with their unique abilities to vanquish an unknown threat?

If so, then you’ve likely played one of the recent Persona games, or even Nihon Falcom’s other series: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel.

What differentiates Tokyo Xanadu from the previously mentioned games is that, rather than following the traditional turn-based formula, Nihon Falcom opted for an action RPG. Aside from that, however, fans of the genre are bound to find a lot that is inherently familiar here.”
