Xbox One Home Console Can Now Be Changed Five Times A Year

Xbox One

If you’re needing to change which Xbox One is your Home Console, you can now change it up to five times per year. Designating your Xbox One as your home console lets you share your Xbox Live Gold subscription, games, & DLC with anyone else who signs in on the same system. Before this change, you were limited to only changing your home console three times per year. Sadly though you’re still restricted to only having one home console at a time, something a lot of Xbox One fans would like to see Microsoft change. Perhaps they will in time?

Can I change my home Xbox console to a different console?

You can change which console is your home Xbox up to five times during a one-year period. This period works on a rolling basis, starting the moment you change your home Xbox for the first time. If you reach your limit of home console changes for the year, you’ll get a message letting you know the next available date you can change it.

When you change home consoles, all device licenses for digital content will move to your new home Xbox. These device licenses will no longer be available on your old “home” Xbox.
